Question 5

Question 5: How do you attract/address your audience

the opening of our film attracts are audience through the mise en scene, the main aspects which are,
  • setting
  • costume
  • lighting
  • shot type
  • props
the setting which is mainly held in a train station which is not in use and creates the atmosphere which we want, it also a good location to help get across our genre of film.

The costume was also another major factor for example we made sure the female killer wore a school uniform to make her look innocent and to portray her age and also got her a gas mask to make her look weird and scary.

the lighting of the film was mostly natural we thought this would give it a goof effect.

the shot types we used were mainly close-ups and medium shots. we did this to make the audience interested.

the props of the film we used were a gas mask and fake blood these were used to create the opening and make it more appealing to the audience.

the genre, sound/score and film name all big factors which were taken into consideration.

the genre of film which is thriller, the genre appeals to a large number of people which is why it is a good genre for a film.

the sound of the film was easy to create an appeal we used sounds which evoke fear and suspicion and made the audience intrigued to know more of the film and to watch it.

the film name which is 'last stop' was chosen to make it seem scary and question the title which is not normale it is unique to our film.

the way we reached our audience was through a cinema screening and using youtube and vimeo to release our film to the audience.
