Evaluation: Question 5

How did you attract/address your audience?

We used mise en scene to attract our audience by using:

- Mise en Scene
- Production Company
- Sub- Genre
- Film Name

In terms of 'mise en scene' we used a typical school  girl's uniform in full force which means the whole tie and blazer with a skirt and typical school girl socks with the ribbons at the side. Then we opposed it in terms of the head gear with a gas mask. This intrigued the audience because its not the usual thing to see in the 21st Century and teenagers are interested in seeing the unusual. It makes it more attractive to them and keeps them interested. Also, in terms of the second character's mise en scene, its very much typical and trendy for a teenager. This attracts the audience because its relatable the them as its just of the average teenager meaning its easier for them to relate to her.

Based on our 'production company' (which is Warner Bros), this helps to attract our audience because Warner Bros is a well known company especially amongst teenagers/the younger generation. They have been famously known for producing the best movies of all time so therefore our audience will be more persuaded to go and see our opening as if its produced by them then it must be of a higher quality.

The sub-genre of our opening is a 'Psychological Thriller' and this helps to attract our audience because it appeals to the the younger generation more as they are more into that specific category within thriller movies. They enjoy the thrill and the shock factor that it gives them and the adrenaline rush that they receive as the movie reaches it climax and sends chills down their spines.

The name of our film 'Last Stop' attracts the audience because it makes them guess and opens their imagination as to what the movie could possibly be about. As in is the last stop literal or what could be happening/have happened in order for it to be the last stop and so on. The mere fact that it opens up their brains and gets them thinking means that its already drawn them in and will make them even more determined to go out and physically go out and watch it inorder to put their mind at rest as the find out what will actually be happening.
